To invoke Prometheus is to summon the spirit of rebellion against all forms of tyranny, both cosmic and earthly. It is to affirm the unbreakable will to defy fate and forge freedom from the chains of imposed order. In Liberation, we encounter Prometheus the rebel – not only against socio-political tyranny but against the tyranny of metaphysical closure. To break chains is not enough; one must melt the very metal from which they are forged. Promethean freedom is not the negation of constraint but an affirmation of the will to become other, again and again. There is no final emancipation. Liberation is a ceaseless forging of new forms against the captivating gravitational pull of tradition.
