UP BEYOND LEFT AND RIGHT

In his “Futurist Manifesto” titled Up-Wingers (1977), Fereidoun M. Esfandiary argues that fundamental changes in the human condition need to take place in the face of the revolutionary potential of rapidly advancing technologies. He thinks that technological development itself makes profound changes to our social and political structure imperative – if we are to survive at all as a species, let alone thrive by seizing the full transformative potential of these technologies for positive development.
