In Videodrome, Max Renn (played by James Woods) is a sleazy cable TV executive who stumbles upon a mysterious broadcast signal called “Videodrome” that transmits violent and sadistic content. As he becomes obsessed with uncovering the source of the broadcast, his reality starts to warp, and his body begins to mutate in grotesque ways, blurring the line between flesh and technology or information and perception, and rupturing the representational view of reality.
